Hackable..yes..I can see that. But the Nokia 770 & 800 are hackable too and the form factor seems to be more 'go anywhere'. I just don't see what all the fuss is about.
I think it's just supposed to be like a physical widget. You can put a bunch of little widgets into a cute device, widgets you can create yourself. It's cute! :) Just the other day I was wondering when the little Chumby was going to be released, and yesterday I happened to read the story about them releasing it soon. If it isn't outrageously expensive (AHPalmFoleoEM!), I'd pick one up to replace my alarm clock. Heh...

I've got a few N800's but this seems like a beanbag clockradio with wifi. Be cool to wake up, see the weather, some flickr images from friends etc...

Maybe it's one of those gadgets that I need to hold in my hand and se in action to appreciate its usefulness; that wouldn't be the first time, lol.
